The GW8 crypto signal MCP server is a x402 pay-per-call gateway with reasonable payment verification via the CDP facilitator and env-based secrets, but it exposes unauthenticated public tools and endpoints and has no authentication on the MCP endpoint. The VIP bypass token is compared in plain string equality and the upgrades.js file was truncated, so its code could not be fully reviewed. Permissions largely match a financial data server, and no hardcoded secrets or obvious exfiltration were found. Supply chain analysis found 1 known vulnerability in dependencies (0 critical, 1 high severity).
