Reelary is a local MCP wrapper that talks to the user's installed desktop app over localhost using a bearer token read from a per-user api.json file, and it verifies downloaded installers with minisign signatures before running them. No exfiltration, backdoor, or obfuscated code was found. The main concerns are unvalidated file reads of thumbnail paths returned by the API, unpinned npx execution of third-party skills code, and a destructive uninstall path, all of which are low severity.
