Search a directory of MCP servers and get each one's own URL, install command and setup steps.

About

mcp.tc is a free, independent directory of Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, and this is its own MCP server. Add `https://mcp.tc/mcp` to your assistant and it can search the directory for you: find servers by name, task, category or sign-in type, then get a server's own endpoint URL or install command, what it needs (no sign-in, OAuth, an API key, or a local install), its tools with read-only and destructive hints, and the setup steps for your client.

Every URL and command it returns is the vendor's own, so your client connects straight to the server you pick. mcp.tc is never in between: tool calls, tokens and API keys don't pass through it.

It's a remote server over Streamable HTTP, read-only, with no account and no API key. Search terms aren't logged or stored. It's for anyone who wants their assistant to find and set up MCP servers, and for agents that need a server's details in a structured form.

Getting Started

Once installed, try these example prompts and explore these capabilities:

  • 1"Find an MCP server for Postgres that runs locally."
  • 2"Which project management MCP servers work without sign-in?"
  • 3"How do I add the Linear MCP server to Claude Code?"
  • 4"Give me the Cursor setup for the Sentry MCP server."
  • 5"What tools does the DeepWiki MCP server have, and do any of them write?"
  • 6"List the mcp.tc categories and how many servers each has."
  • 7Tool: search_servers - Search the directory by query, category and sign-in type (limit 1 to 25). Use it to find candidate servers.
  • 8Tool: get_server - Full details for one server by slug, name or mcp.tc link: endpoint or install command, sign-in, tools, recent changes and setup steps. Pass a client (for example cursor or claude-code) to get that client's steps.
  • 9Tool: list_categories - Category slugs, names and server counts. Use it to browse or to pick a category for search_servers.
