Local architecture advice and evolution checkpoints for AI coding agents

About

Vibe Monitor is a local stdio MCP observer for AI coding workflows. It collects structural evidence and project evolution signals, helping agents explain what to improve now, what to leave alone, and when to reassess. Analysis does not rewrite project source or upload source files, diffs, prompts, project paths, or secrets to Vibe Monitor servers. Bounded pseudonymous telemetry defaults on; opting out pauses Free architecture analysis. Requires Node.js 22+. The open-source client is Apache-2.0; Cloud policy/scoring configuration is a separate proprietary service. Advice can be wrong and does not replace tests or review.

Getting Started

Once installed, try these example prompts and explore these capabilities:

  • 1Requires Node.js 22+; install: npx -y --registry=https://registry.npmjs.org @vibe-monitor/setup@latest install
  • 2Installation configures supported Agent/MCP settings; restart or reload your agent and follow the installation verification guide.
  • 3Manual stdio startup requires the mcp argument: npx -y --registry=https://registry.npmjs.org @vibe-monitor/setup@latest mcp
  • 4Ask your agent to call vibe_session_start once at the start of the coding session, then vibe_checkpoint after a meaningful implementation batch.
