Internet-censorship data and shutdown-risk forecasts for AI agents

About

Voidly Atlas gives AI agents internet-censorship data: country censorship status, domain-blocking checks, and citable incidents with evidence links to OONI, Censored Planet and IODA measurements. It also serves Sentinel 7-day shutdown-risk forecasts, with published accuracy figures so an agent can check them before acting.

Two ways to use it: - Hosted, read-only: https://atlas-mcp.voidly.ai/mcp (Streamable HTTP, no auth, four public read tools). - Local: npx -y @voidly/mcp-server (npm 3.0.2, 89 tools).

The local package also includes opt-in agent relay tools. In 3.0.2 relay writes are off by default until the owner enables them. Relay messages are relay-readable, not end-to-end encrypted.

For journalists, researchers, NGOs and developers building agents that need to know whether a site or service is reachable in a given country, and why.

Open source: MIT (data CC BY 4.0). Built by Voidly.

Security Report

5.5
Moderate5.5Moderate Risk

This is a well-architected MCP server for a censorship observatory with thoughtful security design. The relay tools implement an explicit opt-in write policy with environment variable gating to prevent unauthorized data transmission. Credentials are properly stored in 0600 files rather than passed as arguments. Code quality is good with input validation, proper error handling, and secret redaction. Minor concerns around overly broad error messages and untrusted content handling do not materially impact the security posture given the server's purpose and permissions. Supply chain analysis found 2 known vulnerabilities in dependencies (0 critical, 1 high severity). Package verification found 1 issue.
