Wakala MCP MCP Server
Agent-safe, MCP-native task tracking where humans and AI agents share one source of truth.
About
Wakala is a hosted Model Context Protocol server for agent-safe task tracking. It gives AI agents a small, deterministic surface for tasks, issues, and comments — with strict status transitions, enforced dependencies, and acceptance criteria baked in, so agents can't skip review, close the wrong task, or run ahead of the plan.
Humans and agents work from the same tasks, comments, statuses, and history — no hidden scratchpads or private project state. Tool responses are kept tiny on purpose to cut token cost and keep agents focused on the work.
Sign up at https://wakala.dev to get an API key, point any MCP-compatible client (Claude Code, Cursor, OpenCode, Codex, Pi, Gemini) at the server, and your agent has a controlled work layer in minutes. Project statestays exportable as CSV, so Wakala sits next to your existing tracker — it does not replace it.

}Getting Started
Once installed, try these example prompts and explore these capabilities:
- 1- `List my open tasks and tell me which ones are blocked.`
- 2- `Create a high-priority task titled "Set up CI", assign it to alice, and add acceptance criteria for a green build.`
- 3- `File an issue for the login bug we just hit — severity critical, priority high.`
- 4- Tool: `create_task` — Create a task with title, description, priority, assignee, story points, estimate, and acceptance criteria; auto-creates the assignee actor on first reference.
- 5- Tool: `add_dependency` — Make task A depend on task B; rejected with a clear message if a cycle would form.
- 6- Tool: `update_task` — Move a task through `draft → todo → in_progress → to_review → done`; the state machine tells you what's allowed next if you get it wrong.
- 7- Tool: `add_comment` — Add a comment to any task or issue to record decisions, blockers, or review notes.
